designed to compliment
existing buildings
on the campus.

Morrison
United Methodist
Church –
Leesburg, FL.
This is the
new sanctuary
for one of Leesburg’s
oldest congregations.
The steeple
was fabricated
in Tennessee,
truck to the
site and erected
with a crane.
Upon arrival,
the city blocked
off the main
street, so church
members and
citizens of
Leesburg could
watch the steeple
rise from the
ground to it’s
lofty position.

by John Dickerson,
Architect, Leesburg,

Longwood
Congregational
Church –
Longwood, FL.
The congregation
was using a fellowship
room in the Sunday
school building
for a sanctuary,
and with the growth
in membership,
the time came
to build a permanent
Sanctuary. It
was designed in
an octagonal shape
with wood laminated
arches supporting
an exposed wood
ceiling, rising
to a peak of 32
feet above the
floor. The sanctuary
design provides
a breathtaking
expanse, which
is startling in
it’s beauty.

Architect, Winter
Park, FL. |
